Conversation Series #3
 
As part of Hanna Tordai’s exhibition, Cowgirl Conversation Series no.3 is being released. In this issue, the works of Hanna Tordai and Chantal Akerman are brought together by journalist Harry Thorfinn-George, translator Benjamin Wagner, and writer Ren Azuma.
 
Benjamin Wagner recently translated Chantal Akerman’s book My Mother Laughs (Ma mère rit, 2013) into Swedish, published by Filmögon. For this issue, Wagner and Tordai contribute the text Undertext till en film utan tal, dedicated to Akermans documentary D’Est.
 
Harry Thorfinn-George is a London based journalist who has written and contributed to previous issues of the Conversation Series. In this issue, he meets Tordai for a conversation about the ideas behind her exhibition Biljett.
 
Ren Azuma, a writer and cineaste, contributes a text on Akerman’s restraint and cinematic language.
