Three shows by Bráulio Amado

Bráulio Amado is a Portuguese graphic designer and illustrator, based in New York. His distinctively playful and bold style has amounted to a prolific collection of ener- getic posters, record covers, editorial illustrations, films and self-published books. From his roles as designer at Pentagram NYC and art director at Bloomberg Businessweek and Wieden+Kennedy, he now he runs his own design studio in NYC. His work has featured in magazines such the New York Times and WIRED and he has collaborated with artists including Beck, Frank Ocean, Róisín Murphy, and Robyn.

In the exhibition “Killing Time, Watching The Paint Dry, Yawn” at The Cowgirl Gallery, Amado presents three shows with all newly produced work including silkscreen prints, paintings, riso prints, video installations and sculpture. Each show claims its own space, and Amado’s signature cartoonish style, blended with a keen eye for typography, color, and composition, extends an invitation to take part of his world. This is the first time Bráulio Amado exhibits in Scandinavia.
